When you purchase a ticket(s) for the Great Transport Debate event and provide your personal data to us, we CMAC Group UK Limited (‘we’ or ‘us’) acts as a ‘Data Controller’ under the data protection legislation.

We are committed to being transparent with individuals as to how we process their personal data.

We ask that you read this Notice carefully as it explains who we are, in what circumstances, how and why we process your personal data; your rights in relation to it; how to exercise them as well as what you should do if you have any concerns about how we use your personal data.

What personal data do we process and why?

  1. For the performance of our contract with you

We collect your name, address, email address and billing information such as credit card details. You will also create an account by including your email address and a password. CMAC does not access your login details. You can then review your past purchases and events. We use your information when you enter into a contract or transaction with us so we can:

  • process your order
  • send you customer service emails including booking confirmations and event reminders
  • take payment
  • provide you with customer support
  • facilitate your attendance at our event.

 

To share with event partners who provide services for the event to enable them to run the event, allocate seating or notify you if there has been a change to the event or provide important event information.

Marketing – we will utilise your email address to inform you of any future events which you may be interested in and to obtain feedback from events. You can change your marketing preferences at any time by utilising the unsubscribe option on the e mails received.

Who do we share your personal information with?

We will share some of your information with our partners BA Events who shall host the website only. You shall not receive any communication directly from BA Events. For more information about them please visit their privacy policy here.

How long do we keep your personal information for?

We remove your address no more than four (4) weeks’ following the event occurring. We maintain your name and email address so that we can email any attendees for the purposes set out above Such name and email address will be maintained for a maximum of  three (3) years.

Your legal rights

You have a number of rights such as to:

  • receive information as to our use of your personal information – met by the provision of this Notice.
  • access your personal information and to certain other supplementary information
  • require us to correct any factual inaccuracies in your personal information which we hold.
  • require us to erase your personal information
  • object to us making decisions reached solely by automated means which produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.
  • restrict or object to our processing of your personal information.

Please note that CMAC may, depending on the circumstances, be able to refuse to grant your request or only grant it in part. If we do so we will advise you why.

How to complain
